Taoist Diagrams

As social animals, much of our daily pleasures are associated with how we relate to other people. Indeed, finding love is one of life’s most important challenges. This diagram increases your sensitivity to those around you and helps synchronize your chi with theirs. At a crude level, it makes you like a magnet – attracting compatible people.

Taoist diagrams date to the origins of Shamanism and have been used for several thousand years. Based upon their Shamanistic heritage, these diagrams were originally drawn with wooden sticks in the sand of specially constructed “sandboxes” or on the banks of rivers using reeds. Over time, these drawings were inscribed on the bark of trees and finally upon specially produced scrolls. In their final, most powerful form, magic diagrams were painted with red brush strokes on yellow or gold paper.

How do diagrams work? All of Taoism’s practical applications are based upon the manipulation of unseen Energy called, “chi”. In martial arts and holistic healing, chi manipulation yields tangible results that can be witnessed in dramatic physical ways. In a similar sense, Taoist diagrams harness the power of cosmic chi.

Taoist alchemists discovered that brush strokes conforming to specific configurations could modify a person’s aura (or individual chi) when they were made by a powerful Master. This procedure captures Universal or Cosmic Chi from its normally disperse state and concentrates it. In a unique conjunction of mathematics and art, the configuration of the diagram contains encoded “information” that creates a specialized vessel for captured Cosmic chi dependent upon its specific purpose. In this way, the diagram can change an individual’s chi flowing throughout his meridian system and reconnect him to the beneficial flow of the Universe.

For example, under classical Taoist theory, the world is full of non-physical beings or spirits who need to obtain energy (feed) to survive. Unfortunately, some of these “evil” spirits get their energy from humans – much like a parasite. In this case, they can cause disease when they attack a body and literally suck the vital energy out of the victim and weaken their immune system. Certain magic diagrams can counteract this possibility by making the body uncomfortable for these harmful forces and reject the intruders – much like a healthy immune system fights off infection from viruses. Other examples include certain Taoist diagrams to make a house inhospitable for the negative energy associated with thieves, and thus protect your home or powerful diagrams inscribed on amulets to protect the bearer from physical harm – used by warriors to survive horrible battles due to the deflective power of their amulets.
