Taoist Magic |
|
In performing Taoist Magic Ceremonies the temple priest, on your behalf, presents the spirits with a request for assistance in solving whatever problem you may be experiencing. The spirits alone decide how, when, or if they will grant you request. Sometimes they may choose not to assist at all depending upon whether you are truly in need or worthy of their attention. For this reason we can make no guarantees that you will achieve the results you seek. We can say however that many members of the immediate congregation frequently experience positive results when petitioning the spirits for aide. Students routinely use ceremonies and prayers to assist them in achieving their goal of living more fulfilling and contented lives.
When dealing with the spirit world, it is never appropriate to ask for anything concrete. Humans are limited in their ability to understand what is beneficial or harmful to them, so the choice is better left to the beings that understand the bigger picture. An example of an appropriate request would be to ask for assistance in coping with financial strains; an example of an inappropriate request would be to ask to win the lottery.
To initiate a ceremony, please send a photograph of yourself or the individual for whom the ceremony is being performed. This image will be burned during the ceremony and will therefore not be returned. You should also include a brief description of your issue and of the type of ceremony you wish to have performed. Send this information to the Center of Traditional Taoist Studies, P.O. Box 134, Weston, MA 02493. If you have questions regarding these ceremonies please send an email to ceremoniees@tao.org. Once the photograph has been received we will inform you by e-mail when the ceremony has been completed.
